Buying the domain name and how our Pro-life Ministry started out

Through Yahoo domain names (in Yahoo Small Business), I was able to purchase the domain name for our Blogger homepage, The domain name is easier to remember of course and will help our future readers recall our website URL more easily.

Filipino Youth 4 Life is organized by Christian Pro-life Resources for the Philippines.Filipino Youth 4 Life started as a blog to inform the youth about the sanctity of life and to let them be aware of the humanity of the unborn and how wrong abortion is. Now the Lord has placed in my heart to make a mailing list, to keep the youth informed about pro-life teachings, quotes, events. In the future, as the Lord will increase our network and extend our influence, we will hold a pro-life youth congress for Christians.

Christian Pro-life Resources also started as a blog(around Oct 2006). Then the Lord gave us the idea to reproduce fliers about the diary of an unborn baby in January 2007. We have produced 14,000 pieces to this date and have distributed them all over the country. To our knowledge, 4 babies have been saved by the fliers. We know of four instances (it was just shared to us) wherein a mom in a crisis pregnancy read our flier and after reading, decided to keep her baby. Those babies are all worth it!

In September 2007 we held a two-day pro-life multimedia exhibit and mini-concert at Emilio AGuinaldo College. We featured 8 pieces of pro-life artwork by E.R. Arroyo, my friend, and displayed pro-life picture collages on large tarpaulins. We had a tabletop display of rubber fetal models also.

In October 2007, at the Jesus Revolution Now Convergence in Baguio City, our pastor, Pastor Jerome Ocampo, allowed us to share to the delegates about our ministry. The Lord put in our hearts that we should start a Christian pregnancy resource center soon to help single moms and girls in crisis pregnancies by providing vitamins, diapers and baby clothes. We put up two cellphone numbers for counselling women in crisis pregnancies.

This February 2008 we had another run of the pro-life exhibit, this time for 5 days, at the PUP College of Engineering.

Just today the Lord opened an opportunity for me to speak on the Sanctity of Life at the Philippine Christian University auditorium. My topic was "The Precious Gift of Life- The Sanctity of Life from the Medical and Biblical Viewpoint". The Lord gave me the words and the message to was His lecture. I had a different outline, but as I was making the slides the Lord spoke to my heart what to say.

We delight to serve God's heart and we are excited with what the Lord is doing! As the Lord leads us to more open doors and gives us more of His manifold wisdom in order to rescue the unborn generation,we just surrender all to the Lord and we gladly obey His leading. 1 Samuel 14:6 says "Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few." The Lord's plan and purpose is to save the unborn, and we will willingly participate with God in His plan!

The Protest of a Protestant Minister Against Birth Control-full article from

Sunlight was just beginning to break over the darkness of the morning as my wife and I hurl toward the entrance of the cold brick-faced building. Fear and apprehension gripped me each step of the way. A thousand questions and thoughts raced through my mind. "How much pain will there be? Why the heck did I ever do this in the first place? Maybe I should just leave."

As I entered the door, I figured these were my last moments to bolt and run. I thought back to when I had done something similar six and a half years earlier and remembered the words that blazed across my mind when the procedure began--l will never do this again! Yet there I was, about to have a vasectomy reversal. What could possibly bring a man to the point where he would be willing to go under the knife once again?

Two UnBiblical Beliefs

Only two things could convince a man to get a vasectomy reversal.

1. a radical restructuring of his beliefs, or
2. a nagging wife.

For me it was the former.

In 1985, I held two beliefs which convinced me that getting a vasectomy was fine. The first belief was that God nowhere in Scripture condemns the use of birth control, therefore it must be okay. The second belief was that God wants us to use"wisdom," therefore in today's economy and because of my emotional makeup it would not be wise for me to have more than two children, and I already had two. Both beliefs are unBiblical.

The first belief, that God no where in Scripture condemns the use of birth control therefore it must be okay, fails to recognize the very first command of God in Scripture. It is found in Genesis 1:28. God says, after creating man and woman, "be fruitful and multiply." This is not a suggestion - it is a command!

By virtue of the fact that God commands us to be "fruitful and multiply," He speaks against birth control.

When we use birth control, we are saying, "No, I won't be 'fruitful and multiply!"' We are disobeying God and we are abrogating one of His intents for marriage (Gen. 2:24).

Some would say that this command no longer applies because the earth is full. This teaching that the earth is overpopulated or may soon be is a humanistic, pagan myth. Christians who teach this display their ignorance and sadly show once again that too often the presuppositions of popular 20th century Christianity are the same as the world's.The truth is, all the people of the world standing side by side in a four foot square area each could fit in the city of Jacksonville, Florida, leaving the rest of the world wide open. (Read The Economics and Politics of Race: An International Perspective by Thomas Sowell.)

The second belief, that we must use "wisdom," is nowhere supported by Scripture and reveals our lack of trust in God to meet our needs. If God wants us to "use wisdom" i.e. use birth control, then why is it that whenever people in the Scriptures have many children God declares it is because He has blessed them? In I Chronicles 25:4-5, we read that Hamen had 14 sons. For what purpose? To financially burden him? No. God did it to bless him the Scriptures say!

God views children as rewards, gifts and arrows from Him (Psalm 127:3-5). He views them as a blessing (Deuteronomy 7:13,14), and as a sign of His approval (Exodus 23:25,26). Most Christians would view houses from the Lord as a gift, reward, blessing, or sign of His approval, yet, if they received four or five houses, I highly doubt any of them would say, "Well, we better use wisdom" and begin to practice house-control, not accepting more than two. Obviously, God's view of children is very different from ours.

Historical Teaching

For too long birth control has been looked upon as a "Catholic issue". It is fast becoming a "Protestant issue" however, as Protestant ministers like myself protest the heretical teaching of birth control that is being propagated in Protestant churches. We must understand that the Church, whether Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox, spoke consistently for 1900 years against birth control. Only in the last 75 years have Protestant churches begun to peddle this belief that God thinks it's okay or wise for us to use birth control.\

Listen to this quote, "The purpose of marriage is not to have pleasure and to be idle but to procreate and bring up children, to support a household. Those who have no love for children are swine, stocks, and logs unworthy of being called men or women; for they despise the blessings of God, the Creator and Author of marriage." some Protestants would say, "This quote is obviously them ad dribblings of some medieval Pope." It is not. Rather, it is the founder of the Reformation, Martin Luther who said this. Protestant Christians need to realize that their leaders consistently spoke against birth control up until about 75 years ago.

Who are some of the leaders besides Luther? John Calvin, John Wesley, Robert Dabney, Charles Spurgeon, A.W. Pink, Zacharius Ursinus, Heinrich Bullinger, Cotton Mather, Herbert Leupold, Johann Keil, Franz Delitszch, Matthew Henry, Adam Clark and John Machen, just to name a few, spoke against the use of birth control.

The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, once stated, "The most merciful thing a large family can do to one of its infant members is to kill it." This does not shock most Christians today because they agree with her and quote her daily. " I can't handle more than two." "I can't wait until you grow up and move out." "Will this be your last?" (Asked in church after a couple announces they are having a third child; no congratulations of course) All of these statements and those like them parade the party line of Planned Parenthood, and are in opposition to our Protestant forefathers.

Time has come for those of us in Protestant Christianity to come to grips with the teaching of scripture and our historical heritage and begin to follow the teaching of God and our forefathers, rather than the teaching of Margaret Sanger.

Blood in our Bricks

If you were to list all the reasons why Christians use birth control, you would see that they are the same reasons why a woman aborts her child. The number one reason (according to all studies ever done) a woman aborts her child is because the child is an inconvenience. The child interferes with the mother's (or the father's) pursuit of happiness or possessions. When we use birth control, we are embracing the same anti-child mentality. We are saying that our pursuit of so called happiness, our pursuit of possessions, is more important than obeying God. The question is,"How can we abrogate God's design for marriage and expect to really be happy?"

In the Church today, we "warehouse" children. We don't want them around us during the church service. Many pastors are advising newly married couples to use birth control the first two years of their marriage so they can have time to get used to each other without having undue stress added to the marriage.

The cause for abrogating God's command to "be fruitful and multiply," is the same as the cause for abrogating His command "you shall not murder" - self-centeredness! One of the main reasons why the Church has failed to act against abortion is because it embraces the same anti-child mentality as those who advocate the murdering of the helpless preborn.

We have no God-given right to manipulate God's design for marriage by using birth control. As long as we continue to make "possessions" and "self" our god and as long as we look at children as a diaper bill rather than a blessing, we will never see the Church act in mass against baby-murder. God help us to have His view of children and to obey His commands!

Everything You Never Wanted to Know About Birth Control: A Guide for Engaged and Newlywed Couples-article fr

If you are like almost every other recently engaged or newlywed couple, you have probably given some thought to the subject of birth control. Hopefully, you have even talked this over some with your soon-to-be mate. As you look forward to your wedding and your new life together, birth control is one topic that you and your future mate would be wise to discuss.

This article is designed to be a simple, brief review of the subject of birth control, from a Christian, Biblical perspective. It was written by a young couple who married not too long ago, and had to sort through the issue of birth control. Please read this through, and prayerfully consider its contents.

What is birth control?

With today's modern technology, the newly married couple is bombarded with more choices of birth control than ever before. There are dozens of options, and this can make thinking through the alternatives very confusing.

A distinction exists between contraceptive birth control (Contraceptives) and abortifacient birth control (Abortifacients). Contraceptives include the so-called barrier methods: the condom, the diaphragm, the cervical cap; and anti-sperm methods such as the sponge, jellies, foams and creams. These methods prevent sperm from fertilizing an egg, which starts a new human life.

Abortifacients cause abortions. To put it bluntly, abortifacients kill pre-born children. Most Christians consider that the use of abortifacients is a personal choice. However, very few have really taken the time to understand that abortifacients cause growing little sons and daughters to die.

What is "the Pill"?

The Pill is a group of more than 50 similar types of abortifacients. These pills are taken orally, usually every day. They have three ways of working:

1. They prevent ovulation by suppressing the part of the brain which signals for ovulation to begin.

2. They change the lining in the cervix to make it more difficult for sperm to pass through and fertilize an egg.

3. They prevent implantation of newly conceived human life on the lining of the womb.1,2

The first two methods are contraceptive in nature, the last one causes abortions. The developers of the Pill realized that using only the first two mechanisms would let too many women become pregnant. So they added a chemical which denies the growing baby the opportunity to continue developing properly. The new pre-born baby starves to death and passes out from the mother's body.

Very conservative estimates state that the Pill kills children between two and ten percent of the time.3 However, this does not account for two very important factors.

1. Many medicines such as antibiotics and several other external factors increase the abortion-causing nature of the Pill.4,5

2. Since 1988, the amount of the contraceptive component of the Pill was lowered, which allows the abortion-causing component of the Pill to come into play more often. This results in more abortions. It is estimated that some forms of the Pill of today cause abortions up to fifty percent of the time.6 Whether two or fifty percent, what Christians would ever consider gambling with the lives of their own children?

Among the more serious side effects of the pill are possible infertility, cervical cancer, breast cancer, tubal pregnancy inflammatory disease, increased chances of contracting sexually transmitted diseases, gall bladder disease, blindness, strokes, blood clots and even death.7,8,9

What is the IUD?

The IUD (Intra-uterine device) does nothing but cause early abortions. Inserted past the cervix, the IUD inflames the lining of the womb and stops implantation of the developing child.

IUD's do nothing to prevent conception from taking place. Their only function is to cause these early abortions.

Some side effects of the IUD are possible perforation of the uterus, temporary or permanent sterility, tubal pregnancy, future miscarriages, pelvic inflammatory disease, and even death.10

What is Norplant?

Norplant is a series of capsules which are implanted under the skin. It is designed to be effective for up to five years. Norplant acts as both a contraceptive and an abortifacient. Studies show that it may cause abortions fifty to sixty-five percent of the time.11

A growing number of lawsuits are being filed against the makers of Norplant because of the difficulty of removal. Reported side effects include weight gain, nausea, yeast infections, and acne. The most serious side effects include heart attacks, strokes and nerve damage.12,13,14

What is Depo-Provera?

Depo-Provera is an injection received every three months. It acts as both a contraceptive and an abortifacient. It has the same three mechanisms that the Pill does, two are contraceptive, and one is abortion causing. Depo-Provera may cause abortions forty to sixty percent of the time. 15

Some side effects include an increased risk of breast cancer, mood swings, blood pressure problems, and weight gain.16,17

What is the future of abortifacients?

The abortifacients mentioned are the most common on the market. There are dozens of products in various stages of research, development or testing. RU-486 is just another of these human pesticides.

The latest abortifacient being used at several sites across the U.S. is the methotrexate/misoprostol combination.18 Like RU-486, it is purely abortifacient and not contraceptive. Methotrexate is an extremely aggressive chemical used in chemotherapy to eradicate cancer.19 Unfortunately, it also acts very brutally towards the pre-born child. Any standard drug reference manual should warn against pregnant women using this drug for any reason for the "risk to the unborn child" that it poses.20

There are also several vaccines being developed to prevent pregnancy. Some versions claim to be effective for up to five years. They work by stimulating the woman's immune system to produce antibodies which attack the sperm or any newly conceived baby. All of the methods being tested seem able to produce abortions and kill helpless human life.

What about contraception?

As mentioned before, only a few methods of birth control called contraception are truly contraceptives. These are the condom, the diaphragm, the cervical cap, and the anti-sperm agents. While these methods do not cause abortions, a Christian couple should still weigh the facts carefully and consider Scripture before deciding to use one of them.

Although abortifacients and contraceptives are not the same thing, it is a mistake to assume that they are not related. Both have so much to do with how we view Christian marriage and children. Society views children as a burden; the Bible views them as blessings and gifts (Psalm 127:3-5).

Before you decide that contraception is what you really want, ask yourself, "In light of Scripture, why do we want to deny ourselves blessings and gifts from God?" Ask yourself, "Can we plan our family better than God can?"

We invite you to join us in the conviction that children are among the most wonderful blessings and gifts in the world. We believe that God can plan our families infinitely better than we ever could!

How to Put Up A Pro-life Club

Generations for Life is a pro-life website for teens and youth in the US.

They have a Generations for Life curriculum which they are selling, but they have posted the first three chapters online on their website as PDF files.

  • The first chapter is "Why A Pro-life Club?". Since the manual is for American youth, it basically states that through a pro-life club a young person can influence his classmates with the culture of life, since abortion is legal in the USA due to the "culture of death". Abortion is illegal in the Philippines, but Hollywood exports its immorality and culture of death to the Philippines, so the threat of the infiltration of the pro-abortion culture of death is very real for us. Filipinos must continually reject abortion. One way to keep the culture of life dominant in our young people is through a pro-life club. You can download the PDF file of "Why A Pro-Life Club" here . You will need Adobe Reader software, which can be downloaded for free.
  • The second chapter is "Starting A Pro-life Club". This is very helpful regardless what country you may come from.
  • The third chapter is "Life Topics". Again, this is tailored for the American situation, but nevertheless abortion is not an "American issue" but an issue of life and death and the shedding of innocent blood. Many of the topics can be used in the Philippines as well.
I hope these will help our Filipino youth put up their own pro-life clubs.

Filipino Christians: NOW is the time to speak up

There is an urgency to speak up against abortion NOW.

Being a country where abortion is ILLEGAL, we are a PRIME TARGET for those who want to push their pro-abortion agenda, especially from the Western countries.

We cannot sleep in the light.

The Bible says:
Ephesians 5:5-11 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous ( that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not associate with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

Just today, a "reproductive health" code was passed in Quezon City. This is a "local" version of HB 3773 (last Congress) and HB 17 (present Congress).

Does your church have a Christian school in Quezon City? This city code will affect you. You will be forced to teach mandatory sex education using only training modules provided by the government, which were written by pro-abortion, pro-sexual immorality, pro-premarital sex groups from other countries.

The main goal of the bill is to reduce the population by reducing pregnancies. This is contrary to the Bible. The Bible says,
"Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him.Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth, blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. Psalm 127:3-4"
The city code will also distribute contraceptives.

  • Christian leaders, Christian doctors and Christian groups now recognize that birth control pills are abortifacient (abortifacient= something which causes abortions) by producing a hostile endometrium which will not allow implantation of an embryo. It does not always prevent ovulation. Ovulation and subsequent fertilization may still occur.
  • The IUD or intrauterine device is also an abortifacient. It irritates the endometrium by causing inflammation so as to not allow an embryo to implant.

Life begins at conception, therefore anything that kills the embryo upon conception up to the time before birth is an abortifacient. Will we allow abortifacients to be distributed by the government without uttering a word?

The Bible says:
Prov. 31:8
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute."

Proverbs 24:11-12

"Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not He who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not He who guards your life know it? Will He not repay each person according to what he has done?"
We must speak up for the unborn babies, those who have no voice. We must rescue this generation that is being slaughtered by abortion and wiped away by abortifacients.

As Pastor Matt Trewhella of Missionaries to the Preborn said:
For too long birth control has been looked upon as a "Catholic issue". It is fast becoming a "Protestant issue" however, as Protestant ministers like myself protest the heretical teaching of birth control that is being propagated in Protestant churches. We must understand that the Church, whether Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox, spoke consistently for 1900 years against birth control. Only in the last 75 years have Protestant churches begun to peddle this belief that God thinks it's okay or wise for us to use birth control.

NOW is the time for Christian churches in the Philippines to stand up for life. Abortion and contraception is not a Catholic issue. It is an issue of life and death, of the shedding of innocent blood, of the annihilation of children made in God's image. We must not be ignorant. We must stand on the Word of God. And knowing what the Word of God says, we cannot be apathetic.

pic from website

Let's all war in prayer for Jamaica---that abortion will not be legalized there. There are efforts from abortionists and pro-abortion groups from the US (Planned Parenthood) to get abortion legalized there.

This article is from, a website set up by Christians in Jamaica who have formed an alliance of Christian churches and civic groups to oppose the legalization of abortion in Jamaica.

This is the alliance's statement:

The leadership of the Christian Church in Jamaica and various civic groups interested in the defense of human life have organized themselves in an alliance that gathers to speak out on this most urgent issue of our day. The January 15th tabling of the Report of the Abortion Policy Review Advisory Group (Abortion Report) has precipitated a response from these churches and organizations that see the recommendations of the Abortion Report as a clear endorsement of abortion on demand which the members of this alliance categorically reject. No other organized group in Jamaican society has come forward with a systematic critique of this effort, and it is the intention of this alliance to do so.

The alliance presents a principled response to this Abortion Report by the speakers who bring their unique expertise and the positions of their constituencies to the debate. The response revolves around two fundamental convictions:

  • That the membership of those churches and organizations represented at this press conference unequivocally reject the idea of abortion on demand or the notion that Jamaican society wants or needs it;
  • That the government, which has given numerous assurances of public consultation on this issue, be held accountable for an integral public consultation to the people who elected them, and furthermore, that said consultation be entered into evidence of the presently-incomplete Abortion Report."

This article was written by a Jamaican Christian doctor who is an organizer of the alliance.

Dr. D. Brady-West, D.M.
February 2008

The issue of abortion is a sensitive one which evokes strong emotions on either side. Firstly, motherhood remains –even in this modern age- a highly prized privilege of many females, secondly the survival of families, communities and societies is dependent on our continued self propagation. Pregnancy and child birth are to some extent private and intimate aspects of a woman’s life; however there are undeniable societal implications of the way we treat the unborn child who is arguably the most vulnerable member of the society.

One would imagine that the decision to abort is a painful and difficult one for any woman, though the staggering estimates of the numbers of abortions being done may throw doubt on that assumption. As far back as the end of the last decade it was estimated that over 55 million abortions were done worldwide each year.

Those who campaign for a liberalization of the policies governing access to abortions base their arguments on diametrically opposite grounds to those who desire retention of strict controls. Pro-abortionists place supremacy on the right of the woman to decide what happens in or to her body, to decide whether or not to bear a child. On the other hand those who oppose abortion put significant premium on the rights of the unborn child.

The first issue is the justification of the procedure on the grounds of a nebulous heading of “jeopardy to maternal health” which includes embarrassment, anxiety and financial stress. They are quick to raise issues like eclampsia, or the occurrence of pregnancy after rape. There are just and compassionate approaches that may be applied in these situations; and in the case of eclampsia it is standard practice to deliver the baby then make every effort to keep him /her alive. It must be emphasized that the majority of abortions done in Jamaica under the current so-called “restrictive policies” are done on the grounds of the pregnancy being socially or financially inconvenient. I submit that that serious societal decay is the end result of moral right or wrong being determined on the basis of convenience or expediency.

One of the issues raised by the Abortion Policy Review Advisory Group as a rationale for liberalizing legal access to abortions is the question of maternal mortality. According to this theory a significant number of current maternal deaths are related to illegal abortions, thus legalization and easy access to abortions will make the procedure safer and lead to decreased maternal mortality. Scientifically verifiable data supporting these claims are not presented. In the first place, the public should not be led to imagine that a large proportion of abortions are currently being done in seedy backrooms with dirty instruments. The Advisory Group should be challenged to publish available data on the nature of the locations at which abortions were done for women admitted with complications. The laws that exist are not being enforced and abortions are currently being done with impunity, so it is reasonable to assume that the procedure is often performed in the clinics of medical practitioners (with varying levels of obstetric training).

Like any other surgical procedure, there are inherent potential complications of abortion ,which will in no way be eliminated even if all abortions are done by trained doctors. It should be noted that maternal mortality rates are not lower in the USA (where abortions may be done at any stage of pregnancy) than in Ireland where they are largely prohibited.

The third issue relates to the supposed right of the woman to do as she pleases with the foetus, since the survival of the latter cannot be independently maintained and is entirely dependent on the mother. Taken to its natural conclusion, this implies that life and death should be in the power of the person on whom one depends for survival. Any person who is a victim of serious cerebral infection, trauma, birth hypoxia, or other congenital diseases may well be in an identical situation. If abortion can be justified on these grounds, there will be no valid argument against euthanasia or infanticide. In fact in several “progressive countries” in which abortions are freely and easily available, the next step has been a demand for the legalization of euthanasia.

Notwithstanding all of the above considerations, I submit that the central issue for boils down to this: Is the unborn child a human being? If we consider the baby at 36 or 38 weeks of gestation, this question would clearly be answered in the affirmative. The real question then becomes: at what stage of intrauterine life is this status acquired? Is there a definable moment in intrauterine life when the transformation to “humanness” occurs? Even more importantly, what is the scientific basis on which this point is so designated?

There are several views on this issue; some claim that the unborn child is, throughout intrauterine life, a part of the woman’s body and not a being on its own merit. This must however be weighed against the clear scientific evidence that the foetus is genetically and immunologically distinct from the mother. The genetic uniqueness of the fetus is established at conception and is manifestly different from that of the mother; in fact the transfer of even small quantities of fetal blood into the maternal circulation may have serious medical consequences. Other views hold that the status of ‘humanness’ is acquired at the time of viability or the ability to survive outside the womb. However with improvements in technology and neonatal care, the point of viability is progressively moving towards earlier gestational ages.

The Geneva declaration of 1948 which updated the Hippocratic oath, stated inter alia “ I will maintain the utmost respect for human life from the time of conception”.

Most physicians will agree that the following is a fairly accurate description of the timing of certain intrauterine milestones:

  1. At 4-5 weeks the heart is beating.
  2. At 6 weeks the head and body are distinguishable as well as rudimentary eyes ears and mouth.
  3. At 11 weeks grasping and thumb-sucking can occur
  4. By 20 weeks there is response to noxious stimuli such as pain and noise.

I submit that the critical event in assigning “humanness” is conception. All subsequent changes are those of increased size and complexity, not an alteration of the essential nature of the foetus.

If the foetus is a human being, then the killing of the foetus (ie abortion) is homicide.

The subsequent considerations which then arise are:

  1. Does the doctor have an ethical duty to “do no harm” to this person?
  2. Are there any situations in which this homicide is ethically justifiable?

One would think that there are three agencies from which the unborn child could reasonably expect support, advocacy and protection:

  1. The mother with whom he/she has such an intimate physical and emotional bond
  2. The physician whose basic ethical obligation is to “at least do no harm”
  3. The state

When these three agencies act in collusion to terminate the life of the unborn child, this is a gross breach of trust.

Abortion is a short-sighted approach to treat social problems with a medical procedure that kills the weakest and most vulnerable in the society.

Lou Engle: The Doctrine of SHedding Innocent Blood

" I think God is asking the church, 'Where are all the aborted little children, your brothers and sisters ?' And we are answering "I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?' And He said, 'What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground.'. Blood has a cry that can be heard by God."-Lou Engle

Lou Engle challenges the crowd at The Call Kansas City, 12/31/07 in this video. If you lived in the time of slavery, would YOU have spoken up against slavery? If you lived in Germany in the time of Hitler, would YOU have spoken up against the "extermination" of Jews? Now is the time of abortion, the killing of millions of children. Are you speaking up? The Church cannot close its eyes on abortion. View this video to hear Lou's message.

Abortion Is ALWAYS Wrong

"Right is right, even if everyone is against it, and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it."-William Penn

"Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass said, "if slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong." If they were here today they would stand up on this platform and say "if the killing of preborn children is not wrong, nothing is wrong."
-Randy Alcorn

"No law can give me the right to do what is wrong."
--Abraham Lincoln

“Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' Vanity asks the question,'Is it popular', But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right.”
-Martin Luther King Jr.

Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder."

Exodus 23:7 "Do not put an innocent person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty."

Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Abortion : more than just a "social concern";it's MURDER

"The issue of abortion is more than a passing social concern. It is murder, but worse, the murder of innocents, the shedding of innocent blood."- John O. Anderson, in his book, “Cry of the Innocents”

Rescued Baby in Pangasinan

Read this blog entry of Dra. Amelyn R. Rafael MD from San Fabian, Pangasinan. This was sent to me by my sister.

The blog entry is entitled "Babies Are A Joy To Mommies But Not Always". (click on this link to view)

The baby in the picture above is the baby in the blog entry of Dra. Rafael.

What was the root cause of what happened in the story?

It is the way of thinking of the mom, the way of thinking that it was the only option left for her to do, plus her lack of love for her baby, that drove her to do that.

Would she still have done what she did if she had someone to counsel her and show her compassion? Would she still have done what she did if she had enough resources to take care of her baby? Would she still have done what she did if she knew she could find an adoptive home for her child?

This story is heartbreaking because of what the mom did to her baby, but it is also touching because the poor couple adopted the baby because of their compassion for him.

Let's be willing to help single moms in crisis pregnancies instead of pointing a condemning finger at them. Premarital sexual relations is a sin and should be confessed and repented of, but pregnancy itself is not a sin. Pregnancy is not a curse. Children are not a curse. A baby is not something to get rid of. A baby is not disposable. A baby is a human being, formed and fashioned in God's image.
